4 Seconds of No Control: Airbus Flags Serious Air India Mid-Air Failure

What Happened

An interim Airbus investigation into the Air India Phuket-Delhi flight incident on August 4 found that the A320 aircraft lost key flight controls for about four seconds after all three hydraulic systems temporarily lost pressure. The aircraft suddenly dropped around 300 feet, injuring 24 people onboard, including passengers and cabin crew. Airbus has ordered detailed inspections but says the root cause is still under investigation.
