Citizen Platform Maps Hundreds of School Infrastructure Complaints
What Happened
NammaShale, a citizen-led platform launched in Karnataka to track infrastructure issues in government schools, has received 607 complaints from 26 districts since its launch on August 27. The most common complaints include dysfunctional toilets, lack of clean drinking water, electricity problems and damaged benches. Of these, about 120 complaints have been forwarded to education authorities, with responses received in 13 cases so far.
