Delhi Climbs 11 Spots in Global Airport Connectivity Rankings

Delhi’s Indira Gandhi International Airport (IGI) has been ranked 28th in OAG’s Megahubs 2026 list of the world’s most-connected international airports, improving from 39th place last year. It is the only Indian airport to feature in the global top 50. The ranking is based on the number of flight connections and transfer opportunities available through an airport, rather than passenger traffic. Delhi recorded 2,174 possible international connections during the ranking period and also ranked 9th in the Asia-Pacific region and 9th among the world’s low-cost megahubs. IndiGo accounted for about 40% of flights at the airport.
