Delhi to Stay Warm as Heavy Rain Batters Parts of South and East India
What Happened
IMD has forecast a mixed weather pattern across the country for October 8. While Delhi is expected to remain warm with partly cloudy skies and temperatures around 33-35°C, heavy rainfall is likely at isolated places in Kerala and Mahe, Tamil Nadu, Puducherry and Karaikal, Uttarakhand, and West Bengal and Sikkim. Rain, thunderstorms and lightning are also expected in parts of north, east and central India as the southwest monsoon continues its gradual withdrawal.
Key Takeaways
Even as the monsoon retreats from parts of India, heavy rain continues to pose a risk in several southern and eastern states, while Delhi and nearby regions are likely to see only isolated showers and thunderstorms.
