ED Widens Anil Ambani Group Probe With Fresh Asset Attachments
What Happened
The Enforcement Directorate has provisionally attached another ₹510 crore of assets linked to the Reliance Anil Ambani Group, taking cumulative attachments and seizures across multiple PMLA and FEMA cases to about ₹23,100 crore. The latest action covers two chartered aircraft, six land parcels and an office property in Maharashtra, along with two windmills in Tamil Nadu, bank balances, fixed deposits, investments and receivables. The investigations involve companies including Reliance Communications, Reliance Home Finance, Reliance Commercial Finance, Reliance Infrastructure, Reliance Power and Reliance Capital.
Key Takeaways
The ₹23,100 crore figure is the cumulative value of assets attached or seized across several investigations, not the value of the latest action alone. The alleged fund diversion and fraud remain subject to investigation and judicial determination.
