What Happened

"476: Romulus Augustulus, the last emperor of the Western Roman Empire, was deposed by Odoacer, marking the fall of Rome. 1870: Napoleon III was ousted as Emperor of France, leading to the establishment of the French Third Republic. 1970: Salvador Allende became the first Marxist leader elected democratically in Latin America, winning Chile's presidential election. 1998: Larry Page and Sergey Brin officially founded Google, which went on to become one of the world's most influential technology companies."
