GTA 6 Lets Players Stream Music and Podcasts Beyond the Car
What Happened
Rockstar Games has confirmed that players in Grand Theft Auto VI will be able to listen to radio stations and on-demand podcasts while walking around Vice City and the wider state of Leonida. Protagonists Jason and Lucia will use in-game earbuds and headphones connected to their smartphones, marking the first time the series allows audio streaming outside vehicles. The developer also revealed six radio stations: Cocoteo FM, Back Country Radio, AfroBank FM, The Chamber 106.6, Flash FM, and Dirty South Classics. Real-world artists including Bad Bunny, Lana Del Rey, and Morgan Wallen are among the confirmed hosts.
Key Takeaways
The new earbuds and podcast system is one of the biggest changes to GTA's audio experience, allowing players to carry music and talk shows wherever they go instead of being limited to vehicles.
