Heavy Rain, Thunderstorms Likely Across North, East and South India

What Happened

The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecast widespread rainfall with isolated heavy to very heavy showers across several regions of the country through tomorrow, as the southwest monsoon remains active. Heavy rainfall is expected over parts of Uttarakhand, Himachal Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Odisha, Maharashtra, Kerala, Karnataka, Assam and other Northeastern states, with some areas also likely to experience thunderstorms, lightning and gusty winds.
