India and the Asian Development Bank (ADB) signed a $230 million loan agreement to modernise Chennai's water supply and sanitation infrastructure. The project will build 170+ km of water and sewer pipelines, upgrade 7 water pumping stations and 38 sewer pumping stations, and improve climate resilience.
