What Happened
India bowled out Sri Lanka for 284 on Day 3 of the first Test after posting 462, taking a commanding 178-run first-innings lead. Sri Lanka fought back through Sonal Dinusha's maiden Test century (100) and Niroshan Dickwella's 80, recovering from 90/5 with a 146-run partnership. India remain firmly in control heading into Day 4, thanks to Manav Suthar's 4 wickets and Ravindra Jadeja's 3 wickets. Jadeja also entered an elite club, becoming only the fourth player in Test history to score 4,000 runs and take 350 wickets.
