What Happened

India bowled out Sri Lanka for 284 on Day 3 of the first Test after posting 462, taking a commanding 178-run first-innings lead. Sri Lanka fought back through Sonal Dinusha's maiden Test century (100) and Niroshan Dickwella's 80, recovering from 90/5 with a 146-run partnership.
