Soket Labs and ZenteiQ have launched three indigenous AI foundation models under the government-backed IndiaAI Mission. The models are EKA-1 from Soket Labs and Dhir 2B and Dhir 5B from ZenteiQ. The launch took place in the presence of MeitY Secretary S Krishnan and senior IndiaAI officials. Soket Labs says its broader Project EKA is focused on math, coding, reasoning and multilingual AI, including Indian languages, while ZenteiQ’s Dhir family is being developed as scientific foundation models.
