Published: 28 October 2026 · 1 min read

What Happened

Jio Platforms shares listed at ₹1,358 on both BSE and NSE, a 21.36% premium over the IPO price of ₹1,119. The listing valued the company at more than ₹12.5 lakh crore, making it India’s second-largest listed company by market capitalisation at debut. The ₹30,213-crore IPO, India’s largest to date, was subscribed 22.19 times. After the strong opening, the stock was trading broadly flat around its listing price late in the morning.

Key Takeaways

Jio delivered a strong 21% listing gain after record investor demand, but its longer-term performance will depend on revenue growth, profitability and cash-flow execution rather than the debut-day premium alone.
