Major Defence Boost for Tata in ₹20,000-Crore Army Contract

Tata Advanced Systems (TASL) has emerged as the lowest bidder (L1) for the Indian Army’s ₹20,000-crore Project Zorawar, which aims to develop a new generation of light tanks for high-altitude warfare. Under the next phase, Tata will develop and demonstrate two prototypes within 130 weeks, while second-placed Mahindra Defence will also build a prototype under the Defence Ministry’s Make-I programme.
