Meta, Singapore Police Team Up to Target Vast Scam Networks

Meta said it has taken action against more than 3.7 million scam-linked accounts, pages and other content in 2026, using intelligence shared by the Singapore Police Force. The collaboration helped Meta identify and dismantle large scam networks across Facebook and Instagram rather than removing fraudulent accounts one by one. Between January and June, Meta acted against more than 113,000 fraud-related entities, while in July it removed over 3.6 million ""shell pages"" that could potentially be used by scammers in future campaigns.
