No Hydro-Test Certificate? No CNG in Delhi

The Delhi government has ordered strict enforcement of mandatory hydro-testing for CNG cylinders. Vehicles whose hydro-test certificates have expired, or cannot produce one, will now be denied CNG refuelling at stations. Under the rules, CNG cylinders must undergo a hydro test every three years to check for leaks, cracks and structural damage. The move follows an August 19 CNG cylinder explosion that killed three workers and injured three others.
