Over 1,200 Visitors Join Ladakh's Dark Sky Astronomy Event

The fourth edition of the Hanle Dark Sky Reserve (HDSR) Star Party was held from September 7 to 12 at the Indian Astronomical Observatory in Hanle, Ladakh. Around 40 amateur astronomers and astrophotographers from across India gathered to observe and photograph the night sky under some of the country's darkest skies. An Open Night on September 10 attracted more than 1,200 visitors, while local astronomy ambassadors received training in stargazing and astrophotography.
