Super Typhoon Dolphin Creates New Threat for India's Monsoon

What Happened

Meteorologists are closely tracking Super Typhoon Dolphin, a powerful storm in the western Pacific with sustained winds of around 175 km/h. Although the typhoon poses no direct threat to India, this can pull moisture away from the Bay of Bengal, reducing the formation of low-pressure systems that drive Indian monsoon rains, temporarily suppress rainfall across parts of central and northern India and alter broader atmospheric circulation patterns across Asia.
